Abstract
This volume consists of a collection of papers delivered at the conference held in Dublin in July 2003 in the biennial British Legal History series. They demonstrate the vibrant character of contemporary research into all aspects of legal history and also confirm its world-wide appeal. Papers included examine aspects of the legal history of Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and England but also the legal history from somewhat further afield: Continental Europe, America and the Antipodes. The migration of legal institution and doctrines furnishes a unifying themes for several of the papers.
